I have an issue with any fixture with color mixing.

I use Hog3PC with Saturation and Hue, with Saturation at 100%, when I scroll through the Hues and it gets to the blues, the fixture goes full black.

This happens with CMY and RGB fixtures.

As a fix I normally reduce the saturation to around 60%, and then I can go the full circle of hues without it going to black.

Regards

Mike!

Hi Mike,

That sounds odd! If you start once without the Hog and use the built-in color mix control in the new 2.2 version of Capture, do you get the same problems? (Ie, click on a nice blue in the color picker and check what's coming out..)

In general, the dark blues are real intensity killers, but the fixture shouldn't go black!

I have posted two pictures, it looks the the problem is when ever the cyan channel is at 100% the light blacks out.
Same scene for both pictures. From the left; VL5A controlled by Whole Hog III, you can see the DMX data comming in. VL5A set to the deepest blue I can get in the color picker) A Par64 with Lee #181.

Hi Mike,

We will investigate this matter further within short, but I suspect that this is partially the result of your lighting settings in the Live view. When the lighting settings are very high, these kinds of phenomena have been observed!
