Is there a way of getting Capture Polar to recognize a video capture device, under the Video Tab, so that I can input live 'video' onto a material mapped surface? I'm trying to stream content from a media server into Capture and this particular media server does not support CITP. I am currently using Capture Polar on a windows 7 laptop and the video device is an Epiphan USB box with the standard drivers from the manufacturers website. Could be a useful feature if able to be implemented. If you need more info about my system specs or the video capture device then please let me know.

Maybe you can use the free desktop streamer from Coolux.

You find the free download on www.coolux.de
navigate to download --> WYSIWYG CE --> Pandora's box CITP Desktop Streamer V2

Note that the resolution is limited to 144x144 pix to the limitations of CITP

Hi Alex,

The desktop streamer is your best option!

PB Desktop Streamer looks good, will try this out on a few examples and see what the results are. Although I don't think the PB Streamer solves my current problem of getting images / output from the media server I'm currently using into Capture Polar; sorry, forgot to mention that the media server is on a Mac (Catalyst) and I'm using Capture Polar on a Win 7 PC, so need some streaming software that can take multiple outputs from a Mac and get them to a windows PC / Laptop. Or could I run Capture Polar on another Mac and use some funky Mac software to stream between the two machines?

Hi Alex,

This is technology that is slightly outside what I understand or have ever used, but maybe using some plugins you could stream it using QuickTime. Again - I'm very unversed here, just giving you a pointer!
