Hello,

Having read the release notes for v2.1.4 about the bug fix for rotating fixtures in paper mode I was suprised to find that I am now having more trouble with this than I was before.

If I select a fixture and try to rotate it, including channel and patch information, the channel/patch info moves away from the fixture as if the anchor was not centred over it.  I cannot find a way anymore to just rotate the whole thing together.

Even if I double click on the channel/patch info to isolate it from the fixture symbol, it still wont simply rotate as it did in previous releases.

Am I doing something wrong?

Many thanks

Colin

Hi Colin, I had these problems several editions ago, then it got fixed. But sure enough, it's happening again in 2.1.4.

In paper mode, highlight the troublesome fixture then click on the red spanner - if the label has already gone off the edge of the window, nothing may happen when you click the spanner, so you'll need to zoom out until the whole red box is now within the view. On the pop-up menu, select "Reset Transformation". That will put the symbol back to how it was, but more importantly, it should behave itself from now on.

If you're getting this problem with lots of fixtures, you can select all of them in one go, then you can do the "Reset Transformation" to all of them in one go. Hope that helps.

Only just discovered it myself after reading your post, otherwise i would have e-mailed the Captrue guys.

Hi Colin,

Robert has already outlined the fix when this happens - the "Reset transformation" command. As far as we are aware, this is something that can only happen if you open a project file from the time we "really" had this problem. Project files created in a Capture version from the last year shouldn't have this behaviour. If you have found that this is not the case, I would be grateful if you could let me know!
