Hello,

I am having trouble installing the new version of Capture Polar on my PC.

I am getting an error message soon after beginning installation.

"The cabinet file '_EC6DBOA897A61A3EAF63F5C2C9D8CEE1' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used.  This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package."

I had fallen behind with my version updates and the current version I have installed is v2.0.24.  This will uninstall and reinstall without any issues, but no updates since have been able to install and all cause the same error to be displayed.

My PC is running XP Professional and is a Dell Vostro.

Please can you advise?

Hi Colin,

This is a problem that appears every now and then, that we have no good explanation for at all. Our theory is that it's a Windows Installer-related problem.

Our recommendation is to run all Windows Updates available. If the problem still persists, contact me directly at lars@capturesweden.com.
