Capture is a lighting design software for Windows, focusing on the creative design and documentation stages of the process. Capture allows you to work in realtime with all objects without the need to switch modes or applications, allowing for maximum flexibility and creativity.
Capture 2005 Basic Edition
The Basic Edition is our minimum Capture 2005 package with everything that the common user needs. The Basic Edition allows you to:
- Create lighting design in realtime.
- Simulate lighting design with consoles in realtime.
- Create lists and reports based on your design.
- Create plots of your design.
Capture 2005 Extended Edition
The Extended Edition brings you a number of additional features that the Basic Edition does not have:
- DMX controllable views for powerful preprogramming.
- Full import of DWG and DXF files.
- Create demos of your show for presentation or preprogramming.
Capture 2005 SmartSoft Edition
The SmartSoft Edition is based on our Basic Edition. The only difference and limitation is that you cannot connect to and visualize with any other external controllers than the ETC SmartSoft software!
If you plan to work with the SmartSoft edition on a standalone computer with any network connection, you will have to install the Microsoft Loopback adapter, which is free. See Microsoft's knowledge base article for more information.
Other Capture 2005 console editions
Capture is also available as bundled console editions for LT-Light and LSC consoles, and the BlueLite and LightFactory softwares. These editions come as part of product packages from these manufacturers and cannot be purchased directly from us.
